Wellington-based musician Riiki Reid isn't afraid to dive into different genres. Her boundary-pushing sound established her as a fresh voice when she stepped onto the music scene in 2019. She quickly gained attention with her 2022 debut solo album, the alt-influenced Newer Oxygen. That same year, Reid released another album, dance-pop styled Crash & Collide. In 2023, she teamed up with fellow musician Muroki to produce te reo track 'Kāwera' for the Waiata Anthems series, and translated her hit track ‘The City’ into te reo as ‘Te Tāone’. In 2024 Reid showcased her songwriting and vocal skills with the intimate dream-pop album Skin.
