Traversing Aotearoa, Sik Fan Lah! — meaning 'time to eat!' — celebrates the heritage and cultural identity of Chinese New Zealanders, through food. The culinary journey is varied; there's claypot rice in Otago, earth oven roasted pig in Palmerston North, geothermal-cooked seafood in Rotorua...just to name a few. Made for TVNZ, the six episodes are hosted by a revolving door of charismatic Kiwis, including Masterchef winner Sam Low, playwright Nathan Joe and Black Fern Tyla Nathan-Wong. The crew features a slate of emerging talent, including director Jack Woon — who also writes, edits and shoots the show.
