Six60 formed in 2008 in a student flat, bonding over rugby aftermatch jams. Till the Lights Go Out traces their rise from being North Dunedin's favourite street party act to dominating the Kiwi pop charts, and becoming the only local band to headline Auckland's Western Springs stadium twice. The band's heartfelt lyrics and reggae-inspired rock have won a huge New Zealand fanbase, but also some critical scorn. In this trailer Six60 tastes national success, but a shocking accident at a 2016 Dunedin flat party casts a shadow. Director Julia Parnell has also made documentaries on The Chills and The Exponents.
