Star Runner

The sport of harness racing comes under the spotlight in this kidult drama series (and TV movie) from South Pacific Pictures and Canada's Atlantis Productions. Alison Bruce (Being Eve) plays a wily stable owner, who is busy training her standout horse Star Runner to win the Pan Pacific Trotting Cup. A Canadian businessman and his daughter enter the picture to challenge Star Runner's ownership, revealing the animal's complex past. The Kiwi/Canadian cast includes veteran Martyn Sanderson as West's disciplinarian horse trainer Jack.
