Sunday presenter Cameron Bennett travelled to Melbourne to interview ex-pat actor and writer John Clarke, and mark the New Zealand-born comedian's 60th birthday. Clarke says he "couldn't have been happier" performing as Taihape farmer Fred Dagg in the mid 1970s, and shares a story about a 1974 sketch in which he answered a spontaneous telephone call in character. Longtime Australian collaborator Bryan Dawe calls Clarke "more Australian than Australians are", while Clarke discusses the media frenzy surrounding the Olympics — the inspiration behind his acclaimed Aussie mockumentary series The Games.
