For this ambitious 1993 series, Pasifika people finally got "to tell our own story". The six-part series travels far and wide to look at the rites, rituals and history of Polynesia, and explore what its diverse peoples share. Directed by Te Karere's Hone Edwards, the show was presented and co-written by Samoan-Kiwi Ramona Papali'i (See Here). Tagata Tangata translates as 'it is people, it is people'; the phrase concludes a Māori proverb which speaks of life's greatest value being found in its people — a sentiment explored by the series.
