Hero image for Te Aroha Mōu
Working with Tawaroa was such a wonderful experience. We hadn’t met previously, so our first time meeting was in the studio when we recorded 'Te Aroha Mōu'. I felt nothing but support from him and an incredible patience as I waded my way through the song, both of us focusing on getting the pronunciation correct.

There are a few different ad-libs and harmonies scattered throughout the song which add a cool dynamic, I particularly love the harmony in the choruses.

I want to make art and bodies of work that mean something deeply to me, that capture points in my journey or things I’ve learnt along the way — and hopefully that then means something to someone else.
