The Exiles

Sean Sturm (The Nixons, Eye TV) and screen composer Mahuia Bridgman-Cooper made up the core of The Exiles, a band formed in 2003 and renowned for their energised live shows. Joined on-stage by musicians Graham Cope, Jessica Hindin and Harry Champion, The Exiles released a number of singles, including 'The One' — the first independently released NZ track to reach the Top 30 via radio play and digital sales alone. Sturm and Bridgman-Cooper went on to form band School for Birds, whose self-titled album landed in 2013.
