This 1989 miniseries is set in a Rogernomics-era 'New Auckland' of building cranes, property deals and horse racing. In the second of two parts, brassy odd couple Tammy (Annie Whittle) and Joanna (Miranda Harcourt) find themselves in deep water. The working class battler and the art consultant have done up their inherited greasy spoon cafe — but they're also the "only fly in the ointment" of the 'Vision 2000' scheme of a nefarious developer (played by British actor James Faulkner). Girl power meets utopian property planning as the duo find bones in the basement, and get too close to the secrets of Huntercorp HQ.
Nothing of value is achieved without sacrifice.– Constance (James Faulkner) to Joanna (Miranda Harcourt)
