William Singe

Ngāti Porou

Australian-born singer, songwriter and self-taught producer William Singe got his first taste of stardom in 2012 as a member of The Collective, a boy band formed during talent show The X Factor Australia. Eager to carve out his own path, Singe left the band in 2015 and launched his solo career, recording cover songs in his bedroom and netting a lot of new fans through YouTube and Spotify, plus two world tours. In 2023 Singe wrote 'Whānau', a song inspired by his taha Māori (Māori identity) and Ngāti Porou whakapapa. He wrote the song about his best friends, and recorded it in te reo Māori for  Waiata Anthems
