Blindspott rocketed to the top of the charts in 2003 with a triple-platinum debut album. Their 2005 single ‘Yours Truly’ would later appear on follow-up album End The Silence (2006). The video is heavy on darkness and religious iconography, and features some brief but potentially offputting body-horror. The song reached number nine on the New Zealand charts, and the album that followed got to number one. Shortly thereafter Blindspott was put on hold — in name at least— when drummer Shelton Woolright left the band. Blindspott were renamed Blacklistt, until Woolright's return in 2018.
The non-emo 'Yours Truly' opens and closes with an animated swoop around a city, where all the buildings are adorned with religious symbols: a star of David, a dharma wheel, the star and crescent, and a cross.– Robyn Gallagher writes about this video, 5000 Ways to Love You website, 14 October 2014
