This Kiwi quartet provides an earworm perfect for any Aotearoa summer gathering. Filling the aisles of the Motuora Four Square with good energy and easy lyrics, The Slacks create another song in the vein of their earlier hit 'Yeah Nah'. Te reo Maōri is peppered throughout, offering catchy context for listeners to learn new kupu (words). Backyard cricket, dancing by dairy  staff dancing and a Soul Train style line of staff and band members sharing hongi shine a spotlight on small-town New Zealand. Released in 2016, 'Big Aroha' went viral in Aotearoa; with over 200,000 plays on Spotify, it’s the bands most streamed single to date.

...the music video is set mainly in a Four Square in Moturoa New Plymouth, but it also features towns from across the North Island, like Otorohanga, Piopio and Urenui.
