Episode One
After hearing that there are plans in the works to develop their ancestral land at Ihumātao, six cousins form the SOUL (Save Our Unique Landscape) campaign to protect the whenua from commercial development. As the movement grows they take their petition in a hīkoi to Parliament and make an address to the United Nations.
Episode Two
As the passive occupation of Ihumātao grows in numbers, police serve an eviction notice to the protesters. The protesters stand their ground and continue to occupy the land while the cousins formulate their strategy going forward.
Episode Three
Despite facing eviction threats, the protesters strengthen their resolve putting out a call to the nation for support. Work towards a resolution begins as the government agrees to buy the land from housing development company Fletcher Building.
