This really is inventive DIY film-making at its finest . . follows in the finest tradition of small but perfectly formed films such as the Coen brother's Blood Simple, and it's a textbook example of what's possible with a bit of imagination and a lot of tenacity.

We had a lot of offers of different high-spec cameras, but I knew we would end up fiddling about with the camera and losing time. We wanted the speed of the iPhone . . . They could only shoot in the petrol station when it was closed between midnight and 5am. They filmed over six nights, giving them just 30 hours to wrap the whole film.
