Darryl. An Outward Bound Story - Series One

After an embarrassing video goes viral, Darryl (Millen Baird) hopes to conquer his fears and thwart his evil inner monologue by heading to Outward Bound. Thrown into nature with a mix of misfits and pushy personalities, he faces some harsh truths. Created by Baird (Auckland Daze), this 10-part web series was inspired by his time on the Outward Bound adventure course; it was shot on location at Outward Bound's base in the Marlborough Sounds. Darryl won script awards thanks to the 2017 NZ Television Awards and the NZ Writers Guild. The Herald's Calum Henderson called it "admirably uncynical" and a "comedy gem".
