Double Booking

Television (Full Length) – 1998

Starring Kevin Smith and Theresa Healey, Double Booking is a half-hour tale of a bloke, reluctantly celebrating his stag night, who meets a woman trapped at her hen's party. When the two groups collide at a restaurant, wedding days are threatened, and much ado occurs. The cast is a virtual Gloss reunion. Double Booking was one of a series of comedy pilots made for TVNZ. None became a series, but James Griffin did score a Best Comedy Script gong at the 1999 New Zealand TV Awards. Griffin writes here about the challenges of creating something that worked on its own, but also had the potential to lead into a series.

Okay we have two fugitives on the loose alright. They're on foot, so they can't have got far, Well, unless they took a taxi...or a bus.
