This moody black and white video saw musician Steve Abel collaborating with director Florian Habicht (Kaikohe Demolition). The video moves between two puppets on a lonely plain, and close-ups of Abel and the guest vocalist who accompanies him: Goldenhorse's Kirsten Morrell. The song was taken from Abel's award-winning debut album Little Death (2006). Abel had contributed to the soundtrack of Habicht's breakthrough movie Woodenhead; later he called on Habicht to direct the Berlin-shot video for his song 'Best Thing' (2016). The puppets were created by New Zealander Oliver Smart.
Unitec let us use a space for two weeks to build the set. We used moss to make the puppet set, and Kirsten and I were shot in my flat in Kingsland using a greenscreen. The puppets have independent careers in Oly Smart's European traveling puppetry show.– Co-director Steve Abel
