Devonport - Part Two: Episode eight of eight
Archaeologist and museum specialist Brigid Gallagher is back on the road with her heritage team for the second series of Heritage Rescue, restoring small-town museums to their full potential. The team travels to museums across the North Island in need of the expert treatment: from Featherston to Dargaville, Pahiatua, Eketāhuna, Kaeo and Waihi — plus Auckland's Devonport Museum. The team of researchers, designers and historians revamp jumbled exhibits and restore neglected taonga. Each museum has its own story to tell, including military history in Featherson, gold mining in Waihi and Ngāti Uru history in Kaeo. Check out the episode guide here.
It's really important for the whole of New Zealand to know about what happened on that day. The incident.
