Chris had been looking forward to an Oprah Winfrey episode featuring people who looked so hideous that they wouldn’t go out in public. After watching for a few minutes he gave up and said that they were just normal-looking people with low self-esteem. However it inspired this song, and I and a few other friends somehow agreed to appear in the video. My segment — the third scene — was shot in my house in Grafton wearing stupid stuff I had lying around and was actually the rehearsal footage, which was used after Chris wiped the actual video he was supposed to use (see the Fragile video for a similar story).
