Taking a "peek behind the Iron Curtain" in this episode of Intrepid Journeys is cricket and rugby star Jeff Wilson, who visits Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania. The three countries are still struggling after a history of harsh communist dictators and economic duress. In between his education on communism, Wilson rides horses at a Bulgarian stud, visits the extravagant Palace of Parliament in Romania, and sinks his teeth into the world of Dracula in Transylvania. More sobering experiences include witnessing a dancing bear being saved from a life of torture, driving in Sofia, and trying to avoid food poisoning.
