Kaleidoscope - Rita Angus

She wouldn't eat a lot. She'd have a lot of lettuce, which from a farm I thought was pretty poor tucker. She probably wasn't very keen on meat. Maybe she just simply didn't like it. It's about the only time I was ever cross with her.

Money was not her god. She kept her work modest in size and in scale, and modestly priced because she wanted it to get into people's hands. And then she was, of course, very precious about whose hands it got into.
