Leigh Hart has described The Late Night Big Breakfast as a parody of "TV in general ... and how seriously people take it and how lame and pathetic it is". Presented from a furniture store, the breakfast show parody began as a segment on Hart's show Moon TV. This first expanded episode includes back and forth nonsensical ramblings from hosts Hart, Jason Hoyte and Jeremy Wells, heated debates and humiliations for the special guests, and a book slot with Hart's ex-teacher Joe Bennett. Hoyte surprises chef Nadia Lim with his Once Were Warriors impression, and fishing and strip clubs are examined.
...in a way we've got the biggest set and the cheapest set of any TV production. We can move from lounge suite to lounge suite between interviews and it looks like we've got a brand new set. We've just got to hope someone doesn't purchase that lounge suite mid-interview.– Leigh Hart on returning to Target Furniture's Dominion Road branch for the show's 2020 season, Stuff, 30 October 2019
