In this excerpt from the final episode of backblocks comedy hit Letter to Blanchy, good mates Derek (David McPhail), Barry (Jon Gadsby) and Ray (Peter Rowley) recall their hare-brained schemes and spectacular failures en route to the local police station. There's flashbacks to episodes like The Sweet Smell of Success when their dud race horse won big due to a dodgy dose of 'mother nature', and Jet Boat where Barry's adventure tourism venture went up in smoke. They are greeted by a weary Detective Sergeant Molloy (Ian Watkin) who proposes a surprise solution to the trio's long list of misdemeanors.
You bring us out here, you starve us, you get us stranded, you nearly get us killed...and now you add criminal mischief to the list! I'm gonna get you guys. I'm gonna sue you into the ground...– American tourist Emmett (Tony Dale) confronts a sheepish Derek (David McPhail) about a disastrous jet boat trip
