Steal from the best. I stole this concept from Midnight Cowboy. In an early scene where Joe Buck is walking the New York City streets, the camera tracks with him and the film match cuts between day and night. It’s an eye-catching technique, but also excellent storytelling. In a matter of seconds, the audience knows that Joe has been wandering aimlessly like this for days.
