I last saw this probably in 1990; I remember having the last episode or two recorded on VHS, but the reception at the time was so bad that the audio devolved into complete static and the video was almost unwatchable. Since then I could never remember the name of the show, aside from it sounding vaguely similar to 'Hunt for Red October', or anything about it other than it had something to do with something called Nimrod hurtling towards Earth. Watching this in its entirety after 31 years brought back so much nostalgia. It was a really good story, and the effects were excellent; even now they don't look particularly dated. Thank you so much for making this available to view.

I just found this site. Marvellous. I have been searching for years for this programme. I was beginning to wonder if I had dreamt it, as when I have mentioned it to people they have looked at me as if I was mad. I could remember the title but google searches proved fruitless. Now there are a few sites that mention the show and stills that show things that I remember. I remember this from it's showing on CBBC in the U.K, when they had great imports from NZ and Australia, like 'Round The Twist' and Children Of The Dog Star'.

I enjoyed this series - have just seen it for the first time. I loved the mystery! Tay was so sweet, a really nice character, and has such a pretty soft accent/voice (I'm from England).

I have been trying to remember what this series was called for years now, and a search on Google would always be fruitless. It would be so good if New Zealand were still making entertaining TV series such as this instead the drivel that kids have no option but to watch today. I remember being devastated as a kid when the funding was taken away from projects like this to focus on Shortland Street. That said, it must have worked as Shortland Street is still going strong after all of these years. End.
