Great song... IMHO points to the tension between the subliminal violence within NZ society and the surfaces where 'nothing happens'.

And released on Propeller / Furtive, not Flying Nun, a full six months before the label existed. Just sayin..

As essential to '81 as the Springbok tour, this song made a direct connection, kicking against the post colonial emotional stage fright that poured slurry into our hearts.
