In this instalment of te reo adventure series Pāia, Waioira McLeod and Rereahu Collier are in a Rotorua field. Waioira wonders why she has been given swimming goggles and a rubber cap. The challenge is to stand up for as long as possible while inside a zorb; a big plastic ball, full of water, rolling down a hill. After heading down the hill together in one zorb, Waioira claims victory, but Rereahu says she’s cheating. They try again, this time each in their own zorb. The slowest to the bottom of the hill will win. Rereahu ends up stretching his calves — painfully.
Kei te pukuriri katoa au ki a Rereahu. Tana whakatoi hoki! He pōrangi nōna. Ki te hinga ia i a au me oti i a ia te tū hikari arā te tū haka mō te rua miniti. Anā tō kai Rereahu! (Rereahu annoys me. He’s so cheeky! He’s crazy. If I beat him he has to do calf exercises, like a haka stance for two minutes. Take that!)– Pāia co-presenter Waioira McLeod on her plans to win, and make colleague Rereahu Collier pay for being a nuisance
