Lockdown becomes a space for hope as Tūtahi — a supergroup of Kiwi musicians, including Ria Hall, Hollie Smith and Tiki Taane — remind Aotearoa that being apart doesn't mean being alone. 'Stay' was written and arranged by Anna Coddington, Brad Kora, Rob Ruha, Scott Tindale, Ara Adams-Tamatea and Joel Shadbolt, recorded remotely, and performed by 20+ Kiwi artists over seven days. Its simple message — stay home, save lives — is one Kiwis took on board after New Zealand moved into level 4 lockdown in March 2020, to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
I miss my sisters. I miss my brothers. But we're in this together. Staying apart for each other.– Lyrics for 'Stay'
