Just before moving to London, director Justin Pemberton (TV movie The Golden Hour) took this love song by Paul Casserly and Fiona McDonald (from the fourth Strawpeople album, Vicarious) and transformed it into an exercise in brooding unease. His video takes place at a fading rural motel, with McDonald as the curious receptionist, and Casserly up to some kind of no good. A yoga-practising new-ager, a traveller with unexplained cages, and appearances by stringed instrument-playing senior citizens add to the growing sense of disquiet. The video was shot in a motel in the North Island town of Parakai.
