When I was a little boy, one of my favourite things to do was to go to the movies, especially the Cinerama movies, and I’m talking Ben-Hur, 2001: A Space Odyssey (I’m a child of the 60s, 50s actually). I liked to sit in the front row, and get completely overwhelmed by it, and transported. That’s what I want to do with plays when I direct.
