This mini documentary looks beyond the bright smiles and blue waters of the Republic of Kiribati. Pelenise Alofa — from the Kiribati Climate Action Network — speaks of the stark impact of climate change on the islands, and the vulnerability of its people to the elements. Suspended Generation shows a Kiribati people sustained by their environment. But that environment is quickly changing, with far-reaching adverse effects. The documentary balances hard-hitting realities with the innocent candour of local children. Suspended Generations debuted in 2018 on Radio New Zealand's former digital platform The Wireless.
